I've mentioned my affinity for the Cadenza here before, haven't I? Anyway, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! checks all my boxes. Too bad it's almost 1,000 miles away from me. But that could be a fun road trip, right? The Phaeton might like a Korean stablemate.

\Starship Troopers era - "Would you like to know more?"
Fill me in on what a Cadenza is, not to be snarky but I think I have only viewed this as a nondescript beige-mobile.

That's a lot of miles in a year

I prefer my big sedans in black, but either way its very cool

5-Series luxury at a 3-Series price with a 10-year, 100K-mile warranty (if you buy new). It's comfy without being flashy, which is perfect for me.

Okay okay, I follow. What is the difference between this and the K900 that LeBron shills?
![]() 04/10/2015 at 14:24 |

I suppose it is. My Galant was a year old and had 31,000 miles on it when I bought it, back in the day.

K900 has more legroom, power, and features, but it's $20K more than the Cadenza. I don't have K900 money. But I've checked one out in the showroom, and it's really quite nice.

1000 miles ... I struggle to consider anything over 100 miles away. I'm obviously not Jalop enough.

These have replaced Avalons as the go-to car at my dad's firm.

Why not a Genesis? They're RWD and have more standard power than the Kia with the same warranty. I may know someone that did a review >.>

You forgot to mention the important features, the K900 has a V8 and is RWD, which makes it much more appealing.

I've driven a thousand miles in a day. It's not that bad. I can only imagine how far I could drive if it was somewhere I wanted to go.

It's the thought of driving 1000 miles to see a car, finding something you don't like about it, driving back. Urgh.
![]() 04/10/2015 at 16:23 |

Find a car like it nearby, check it out, then have someone else check out the one 1000 miles away, purchase, and drive back.

I'd only travle that far for something pretty rare. If there was one closer I'd just buy that.

You aren't in the states are you? That's not too far to a lot of us.

Wouldn't $20K get you a really nice VW Phaeton?
Instead, go for $13K-$15K range and get a loaded NON-AWD Kizashi with the 6MT and you shall be happy to let the Galant go to the crusher. (Dont be like me and get the AWD, its so much better without AWD)
![]() 04/10/2015 at 17:07 |

I appreciate that, I still wouldn't travel 1000 miles for a car.

Kizashi is high on my list, and I've even test-driven one. But the lack of parts availability scares me. I have enough of that with the Phaeton.
Also, I didn't know you bought a Kiz!

Also, I got the first Phaeton repair bill on my 2nd go around! Wanna compare notes?

Not even for a free Series 1 with a solid chassis?

That's not a car. That's a LEGEND.

Kia has been nailing it lately, the Cadenza is quite sexy. As is the K900, which suffers from an unfortunate name and unfortunate sales figures.

I need to catch up. I actually do follow you, but I'm almost never on Oppo anymore due to work. Nice cars!
